Out & About Book Bus will be at Golden Valley Pride Festival at Brookview Park from 12pm-6pm. We will be partnering with Golden Valley Pride Festival to offer hourly story times with local personalities. Story Times will be at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm.

Join us for an afternoon of community, stories, art, and love. Sun Yung Shin and Leslie Barlow - local author and illustrator of children's book Revolutions are Made of Love - will be reading excerpts and discussing the book and the idea that "revolutions are made of love". The gathering will include opportunities for you to participate in a community art project, enjoy appetizers and drinks, and all families will leave with a copy of Revolutions are Made of Love: The Story of James Boggs and Grace Lee Boggs by Mélina Mangal, Sun Yung Shin, Leslie Barlow. Additionally, the Out & About Book Bus will be there for families to enjoy!

Tickets are $30 a person (kids are free). All proceeds benefit Out & About Book Bus and their efforts to get LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming books to kids and families throughout the Twin Cities. All ages are welcome and grown ups without children are encouraged to be children at heart and join us for this special event!
